My story
Hi, thanks for dropping by:
Creating work that delights my clients is at the heart of what I do and why.
Helping smaller businesses grow through customer engagement is a true passion.
While I'm an experienced image creator (AKA been doing this for years) I'm always curious to latest styles, current market trends and how I can elevate your product or service.
Living in and loving Wellington with my little family of three I’m often found in the kitchen creatively “playing” with food. Dreaming up salads, toast toppers and which way little hothouse tomatoes should roll into frame and jump onto a pizza - this is my happy workspace. I’d love for you to join me, please say Hi.
Short History
My career started in the Waikato for a daily newspaper, then my camera shifted me to Auckland to be Viva photographer for the NZ Herald. Owning our business Think Photography came next, and I swapped the buzz of a newsroom for the thrill that comes from making clients dreams come to life.
Food & Lifestyle imagery feedback:
“I think we captured some really unique and beautiful images. Caro, you were especially amazing! Thank you so much for being so patient and calm, and simply a pleasure to work with.”
Louise DeGroen, VMLY&R Wellington
“Carolyn was commissioned to photograph a comprehensive library of recipes as part of a rebranding of Anchors global recipe database. This included several days work over a number of weeks. Carolyn's work was faultless. Her technical skills shone through with consistent lighting, images that were varied yet on-brand, and to demanding deadlines. And above all else, she was delightful to work with - flexible, accommodating, utterly professional, and fun. I totally recommend her and her work.”
Hayley McLarin, Colenso BBDO, Anchor Global website
Styling feedback:
“That’s GORGEOUS. Exactly what I wanted – cool and REAL. Well done - I’m happy.”
Kate Coughlan, editor of NZ Life & Leisure magazine, for Cover, co-styled and shot
“Caro always came to shoot prepared, she listened to what I hoped to achieve with the books, then came with large and varied range of props, even painting trays she sourced in advance to achieve a particular look.”
Rowan Bishop, food writer and author
